Southwest China's Yunnan Province utilized US$420 million of contractual foreign investment in the Jan-Nov period this year, with US$160 million in place, up 45.8 percent and 41.6 percent over the same period last year.
An official with the provincial economic cooperation office said that Yunnan has made great efforts to lure foreign investment, and designated 25 projects that need US$10 million of investment each.
Among the 25 projects, the biggest one has utilized US$130 million of contractual foreign investment.
