Two explosions rocked a Baghdad market on Monday, killing three people and wounding 10, an Interior Ministry source told Xinhua.
The two successive blasts were caused by a car bomb probably detonated by a suicide bomber, which hit a crowded market in the Baghdad's al-Jadida neighborhood, the source said on condition of anonymity.
Violence mounted in the war-torn country after three years of the US-led invasion in March 2003, despite the formation of a new government on Saturday.
Newly-installed Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki vowed to use " maximum force" to stem the rampant violence.
