They were given up by their unmarried mother, Eva, in 1943. Jen worked for 40 years in the Rotherham town center Boots store -- the same store where Judith, renamed Kath by her adoptive parents, got her prescriptions. Jen's husband, Howard, also attended the same schools as Kath, in the year below her, and a workmate of Jen's was pals with Kath.
